Rainy day Angophora
As
happened often in 2010, the day I arrived to paint was wet and drizzly.
My shoes squidged on the orange-pink gravel road and left footprints
which would have delighted any detective doing forensic work, so I
thought of using this slurry for an impasto effect. Mixed with acrylic medium, the colour changed as
it dried, and reinforced the muddy, rainy day feeling. I enjoyed the
experiment.
