Tamariscina
I’ve
seen these beautiful weeping paperbarked melaleucas near
Charters Towers on the Hughenden – Townsville road. Although I travelled
this route often as a child it was usually by rail or air as the roads were
truly awful,
so my first memory of Tamariscina is seeing this grove in the Garden. I have a sneaking feeling
it is now classified as
a callistemon.
