After the wet on the Birdsville Track, 2012

Doing the Birdsville Track is one of those journeys fellow travellers are unkind about – “boring” they cry. I love its wide open spaces and this time, we actually had to wait for the track to open after heavy rain. There were still a few boggy parts and Nature was loving it, little gilgais had appeared everywhere, brimming with water, bird heaven.
