SOI negative, empty tanks

Our water tanks ran dry many times during the drought of 1993, and the weather reports brought little comfort with the Southern Oscillation Index dipping well into the negative zone. Then, as now, El Niño was paying us a visit, that  unwelcome guest. The window frames the high tankstand which stood among trees behind our house.
