Jupiter Well
On the Gary Junction Road west of the NT/WA border and east of the Canning Stock Route is a large open area surrounded by a beautiful stand of Desert Oaks (Casuarina decaisneana). The well was dug in the 1960s to provide water for road building, and the story goes that the planet Jupiter was seen reflected in the first pool of water. We love camping here with the music of the trees as they move with the wind.
