Whistlers 2013

We meet whistlers everywhere too. Plumed Whistling Ducks to be more precise. They are gregarious birds, moving around in big flocks. Where we live they often forage in one location and return to the waterhole they call home at night. It's not unusual to hear their signature whistling calls as they fly over our house hours after dark.
